I am currently huddling under the meager shelter offered by the awning of the Science Olympiad team typing up this blog post.
I just have to say that today was amazingly fun, albeit rather disorganized and chaotic.
I rest here with the satisfaction of a job well done. Now to see if that feeling changes after the awards ceremony.
Happy Pi Day, everyone!
EDIT: We made third place! We're going to States!
Seriously, we were the dark horse candidate of the year. Out of our whole team, we only had 4 pairs place, and not a single one of them was first place.
I guess we've got a good average, but few stellars xD

A bit of link-posting
Found some cool stuff, but I gotta scoot off to study now. It's finals week, don'tchaknow?!
/lame attempt at Bleach reference.
This site encodes a text file into an ASCII art file. I thought the idea was awesome. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to print out the image to see if i can read it. And I haven't been able to save the file, either o_O. Which defeats the purpose. But it still cool to look at.
More link-mongering, but this stuff appeals to other mad scientists out there.
Toodles!

Evil Scientists
I hope to join their ranks someday.
So I first got interested in genetic engineering when I learned that tomatoes can be engineered for frost resistance with genes from cold-weather fish.
Now I look forward to a future where I can play with Mother Nature's bounty, but twist it in strange ways--to suit either my needs, or those of humanity. Buaha.
~Goes back to writing college essays about why she picked the major she did.~ Goodness, I hate these.
